What’s on offer for summer BMX coaching!

Hey everyone I am sending this out for everyone that is looking to build up some speed over the summer going into the season and Nationals in New Plymouth.

I have created three different programs that target a different range and skill levels in each group.

The general BMX night is for anyone who is interested in doing a little extra riding while building basic BMX foundations while preparing for races.

The Intermediate program is for riders that are at the stage of building more technical skills and confidence. We will cover everything in depth and work on building a race ready rider.

The advanced program is for riders needing that extra push. This program will be more intensive and push the rider’s skill and ability on the bike. Skills, corners, race lines and confidence will be targeted as areas to work on as we build on and off the bike towards nationals.

General BMX Skills night

  • This training will cover all you need to know as a rider from pumping, cornering, gates and general bike awareness skills.
  • We focus on riding lines and getting around the track as quick as possible.
  • Great confidence builder learning to ride around people.
  • Great way to get race fit ready.
  • Each session will be for one hour from 530-630 on Mondays (Wet catch up session night on Fridays)
  • Limit of 12 riders ($100 per rider)

  • Basic at home strength drills to perform to gain leg strength.
  • Basic sprints introduction to increase speed down the first straight.
  • Each session will run for one hour on Mondays from 430-530
  • Limit 6 ($180 per rider)

Advanced

  • This training group will have a very heavy focus on technical skills and getting race ready. As we will still work on the basics we will go much further into developing those skills further and preparing for targeted races.
  • Emphasis on jumping and manueling, learning how to generate speed from these skills.
  • Pack riding confidence. Learning to get comfortable in the pack.
